20+ Instagram Hashtags For Handmade Businesses

It should come as no surprise, but I Love Instagram. It’s by far my favourite social media and Pinterest of course.
Part of the reason I love it so much is because I believe in the ability to grow a large following while engaging with your followers, and, more importantly, grow your business there. One way to do just that is by properly utilising hashtags.

I’ve been collecting some of my favourite hashtags in a tiny notebook I know, I know: seems silly to keep them there instead of on my computer or iPhone, but I still like to keep some things on paper! Because I have/manage several different types of Instagram accounts, my list is long (and I am constantly adding new hashtags to that list bear in mind each post can consist 30 hash tags at a time).

But I’m talking specifically about hashtags for people who are interested in buying and selling handmade items, whether that is jewellery, clothing, candles, home decor, accessories, etc. I’ve noted where some of these originated, but I don’t know who started all of them. If you know, please say so in the comments and I will update the list. Thanks! So here are some of my personal favourites :

#crafttherainbow

Instagram Posting Cardinal Rule No.1 For ETSY Sellers

I've been following a number of our team members accounts now and I'd just like to share a quick tip for today.

Posting inconsistently is going to lose you fans and followers. I've noticed may sellers who post with enthusiasm 1, 3 posts a day for a week then disappear for the rest of the month... or two.

Hands up if you are guilty...!

Your potential fans need to know what to expect from you and disappearing for stretches of time does not instil confidence or portray professionalism...especially if you are running a business account.

You need to be consistently posting - once a day at the very least.

I'd be more invested in an account with regular postings... encouraging recall, bringing me back into your world daily. If not... out of sight is certainly out of mind.

What do you think?

What is the one thing that's stopping you from posting consistently?
Let's see if we can help each other.

If you are on Facebook, we've also been having a lively discussion on this topic right here at our Facebook Group. We'd love for you to join us.
